When A Fellow Apostate Goes Insane, What Can We Do To Help?
by RottenRiley ini don't know how to handle the situation with a fellow apostate who has lost their mind due to this evil cult.
this guy is texting many of the elders under alias of six different cell-phones no less than twenty times a day.. .
we had to change the locks at the kingdom hall because he was still stalking and prowling around the hall after advertsing he had left the kingdom hall and we were all no less than mind-dead zombies sucking out of the life of thinking individuals.

Blip! The radar has blipped. I'm on it. 'chat' booked in for Sunday.......
by Captain Blithering ina young, progressive, kind elder wants to have a chat with me on sunday after the meeting.
we've talked before and been quite open about the judgemental attitudes 'we' have as witnesses, and he was completely in agreement, stating that he's never understood the beard thing among other issues, and wants to see the society moving forward by change..
i've no doubt he just wants to encourage me to up my hours or reach out again, but it's nerve wracking, as i know i'll say something i'll regret.

You can probably get away with asking a question, but expressing an opinion, especially one he won't like, should be saved until he's knocking on your door asking for your help.

OMFG Dinosaurs and Noah
by konceptual99 injust fell off my chair whilst listening to the bible "highlights".
someone has actually just said that the flood account actually helps inform scientists on matters that perplex them.
for example for decades they have wondered how the dinosaurs all disappeared but if they looked at the account of the flood then they would see the answer.

"For example for decades they have wondered how the dinosaurs all disappeared but if they looked at the account of the flood then they would see the answer."
Spoken by someone who either hasn't read Genesis, or doesn't understand the meaning of the word 'every'

Any Amateur Astronomers Out There?
by cofty ini have recently revived my interest in the night sky.
there are a lot of great sights you can identify with just a pair of binoculars.
i am currently relearning how to navigate my way round all the constellations and find some of the best objects.. i live out in the country so we get almost total darkness right outside my front door.

Light pollution steals much of the night sky around here. Gone are the days when I could drag the kids out of bed at some ridiculous hour of the night to watch some once in a lifetime celestial event.
Thank god I made the most of the opportunities we did have. My kids remember them. Starry nights lying on the BBQ table at some silly hour of the morning.

How was Adam Perfect? He sinned....Duh
by DS211 inwell an elder brought this up with me and said he didnt understand how adam sinned if he was perfect.
i said i dont see how he couldve sin ed if he was perfect....but he had free will to choose.
i then told him that i thought if god wanted us to obey him the worst thing he could do was create us to have free will.....a side thought i had was:.

To divert him from his pre-programmed spiel, you could also ask if he thinks every snake that doesn't have legs is a descendent of that one?

Sometimes it's best to just shut up and let them mull it over. Takes a bit of self control though.

My feelings are much the same, but I would cross 'respect' of my list. Respect has to be earned. It is not our parent's as of right. My parents didn't earn respect, but they demanded it.
I'm sure I only exist as the result of a broken condom. Armageddon was only months away, so why would they plan to give birth to me so close to Balmygeddon? They never broke any more condoms. Probably invested in better brands to avoid further *** ups.

I get it Terry. Alternative service wasn't an option for my father, who did jail time, or my contemporaries. I only got off easy by not being a permanent resident of any particular country at call up times.

It's easy Julia. You ask them a question that they can't honestly answer without the Worldly seeing their cultish side. Once you have made them lie, you ask them questions to get them to contradict what they just said. I did the same thing to some Mormons last week.

I just say "No."
apostate ˈapəsteɪt / noun
- 1.
a person who renounces a religious or political belief or principle.
" after fifty years as an apostate he returned to the faith "
synonyms: dissenter, heretic, nonconformist ; More
- 1. abandoning a religious or political belief or principle. " an apostate Roman Catholic "
I didn't leave any church. I didn't join one. Many of the Dubs I know, did leave a church to join the Rutherfordites, so that makes them apostates by dictionary definitions.
